PHILADELPHIA, ANTWERP, July 20, 2004 – BDP International, a leading global logistics and transportation services company, has opened an office in Lyon, France. Managing the office is Jean Pierre Petin, who reports to Yves Letange, newly appointed general manager for BDP’s operations in Belgium and France.
Located at the Lyon
airport, the new office will provide a wide range of services,
including air and ocean freight forwarding, Customs brokerage
and consulting, logistics and warehousing, road transport and
distribution, project forwarding, procurement, African expertise
and NVOCC.
Earlier this year,
BDP acquired T.I.nv, a Belgium-based international logistics
firm with offices in Antwerp, Brussels, Bangkok and Singapore,
and ACTA S.A.S. with offices in Paris and Lyon. Both companies
operate as wholly owned subsidiaries of BDP International. The
company also recently acquired a majority interest in the transportation
division of Merlin Logistics GmbH in Kriftel Germany, near Frankfurt.
Headquartered in Antwerp, BDP’s European operations serve clients in the chemical, healthcare, biotechnology, automotive aftermarket, metals, plant construction and electrical equipment industries.
