Thornton to head business development at BDP's Project Logistics unit

PHILADELPHIA, January 19, 2006 - BDP International, a leading privately held global logistics and transportation management company, has named Jennifer Thornton to the newly established position of director of business development for its BDP Project Logistics unit. She will be based at BDP's regional hub in Houston, Texas.

Operating as a wholly owned subsidiary, BDP Project Logistics leverages its parent company's regional presence in emerging economies to support infrastructure and industrial development through a portfolio of logistics and professional resources dedicated to the construction, mining, power generation, and oil and natural gas industries. It serves contractors and vertical industry clients in China, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Latin
America, Eastern Europe, Africa, Russia and the former CIS countries.

Prior to joining BDP, Thornton worked for Transoceanic Shipping Company as vice president of corporate development, as well as ocean freight operations manager and West Africa route development manager for MSAS International, both in Houston. She began her career with United Parcel Service, also in Houston, where she held various positions in operations.
