The potential of Tropical
Storm Gustav landing along the US Texas Gulf as a hurricane
early next week has placed the state and residents on alert
as the storm continued a path toward the Gulf of Mexico.
Forecasters say the tropical storm could make landfall late
Monday or early Tuesday, anywhere from Texas to the Florida
Panhandle. With top sustained winds just below hurricane strength,
Gustav is projected to become a major Category 3 hurricane upon
entering the warm and deep Gulf waters this weekend.
In preparation for the pending weather threat, BDP and its Houston
operations have begun to put a Business Continuity Plan into
effect. If BDP operations in Houston are impacted, we will be
fully prepared both to make the safety and well-being of our
employees and the unmitigated flow of your transportation and
logistics service our highest priorities.
BDP is monitoring the progress of Tropical Storm Gustav and
will be communicating with customers, partners and employees
as events warrant.
